The Jordan XIII shoe

Jordan XIII shoes seem to be one of the most popular shoes among the Jordan brand itself. Since its release back in 1997, this shoe has swept shoe fanatics off their feet. It cant really be explained why this particular shoe is so famous world wide. The only object able to understand the awesomeness of this particular shoe is the human eye. In most cases the reaction that people get from other individuals when seeing a newly released clean pair of these is something unexplainable.

Air Jordan 13 / Air Jordan XIII

The Air Jordan 13 was released in 1997-98 which was the last season that Jordan played for the Bulls.

While wearing the Air Jordan 13's Jordan broke Karemm Abdul-Jabbar's NBA record by scoring double-digits for the 788th consecutive game. Jordan also led the bulls to the franchise's sixth NBA Championship Title. Jordan took home his sixth ring along with his sixth Final MVP honor.

Panther Paws

Tinker Hatfield was the mastermind behind the genius design of the Air Jordan 13. The Air Jordan 13 is regarded as the best designed Jordan shoe by a large percentage of Jordan sneaker fans. The Air Jordan 13 was the first and only Jordan shoes to feature a hologram. The outsole received inspiration from the paws of a Panther. Jordan's nickname on the court from fellow NBA players was "Black Cat" for his fast reflexes and speed down the court.

The Retro Jordan 13's were welcomed and sold quite well. Jordan released only 2 colorways before Christmas including the ever so famous Black/Red Jordan 13 December 22nd. In 2005, Jordan released 10 more colorways which many saw as ridiculous. Low cuts were never a fan of Jordan collectors, and Jordan released 6 colorways in the low cut.

The Nike Air Jordan XIII was released in 1997/1998. On December 30th Jordan broke Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's NBA record, by scoring in double-digits for the 788th consecutive game. He also led the Bulls to their sixth NBA Championship title.

Panther paws Hatfield kept on making original designs. The XIII's featured a nice hologram on the ankle and the design was said to be inspired by a panther. The outsole with pads like a paw and circles representing whiskers.

Two different low-top colors were also released to the public. These without the hologram.

The Jordan 13's were also one of the best performing Jordans sneakers in the entire line. The shoes had good cushioning and were very light weight. The Jordan 13 also brags to be the most famous shoe in the line from the standpoint that its is Jordan's personal favorite.

The Jordan 13 is best known for having the most unique sole ever put on a pair of basketball shoes. This Jordan 13 sole was supposedly inspired by a black panther - Jordan's nickname on the NBA court.

The retro Jordan 13 was released in October of 2004. There are currently 5 confirmed colorways. The White/Wheat Jordan 13 was the first retro release. There have been samples of the Jordan 13 lows that surfaced in Japan made of all white leather.

The Jordan 13 was also produced in football cleats. Jordan made these in a colorway that will not be released in basketball form - all black. It has been reported that people bought the cleats and put soles on them to wear this exclusive colorway around the malls.
